David I am looking forward to reading your conversa 28 Sep 2012 - 14:21:12

Geri I wonder how it all gets stitched together 28 Sep 2012 - 14:22:52

it's a good question, because there are so many ways that information gets organized and recombined -- and mostly as a result of our behavior. In the case of the backchannel, it's based on Twitter users at the conference using #ksedtech as the hashtags on their tweets. - dfw

Kye Welcome to Maui. I'm trying KnitterChat. 28 Sep 2012 - 14:22:53

Kye Me too, Geri. How is it that we are the only ones showing up? 28 Sep 2012 - 14:24:08

unfortunately, my iPad respelled the hash tag when I typed it in. So knitter didn't capture the tweets. I'm disappointed. - dfw

Jay One more tool to try out 28 Sep 2012 - 14:24:54

Geri Developing relationships with content 28 Sep 2012 - 14:29:53

Yes, that is exactly right. I like to think of personal learning networks as being networks of ideas, as opposed to networks of wires and routers. We connect through our ideas. - dfw

Nick Can we see the code behind your scratch game? 28 Sep 2012 - 14:33:26

evidently so. They see it as an important part of learning programming. I learn a lot about programming by looking at other people's coding, and trying to figure out why it works. It's learning. - dfw

Kye Scratch seems interesting, but program needs to be downloaded. Downloading is disabled on kids' laptops? 28 Sep 2012 - 14:39:11

Geri Experience responds to students 28 Sep 2012 - 14:40:27

Geri Google has created a question/asking culture 28 Sep 2012 - 14:46:50

Kye I accidentally closed the Internet, and when I came back, KnitterChat plugged me right back into this conversation. HOW??? 28 Sep 2012 - 15:00:37

Am I good or what. Actually, I have no idea why that happened. - dfw

Lance "question asking culture" in action. Isn't it nice if no one answers our question(s), we can always google it! 28 Sep 2012 - 15:03:42

Kye Class notes posted to class blog. Yet another technology we can't use since kids can't post directly to blogs. Sigh. 28 Sep 2012 - 15:03:59

mandi technology is amazing 28 Sep 2012 - 15:09:02

Kye Doodlebuzz was super frustrating! Responds weirdly to keystrokes. 28 Sep 2012 - 15:13:36

Kye Thanks for the learnings, David. 28 Sep 2012 - 15:14:25

Chad Kalehuawehe Too cool 28 Sep 2012 - 15:17:50

Kye I've tried two instances of "Surprise me" this year, and got junk. We need to create the climate for this to work. 28 Sep 2012 - 15:34:44
